On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, the grant office at the Directorate of International Relations Affairs at the University of Zakho hosted a workshop entitled the "Obstacles and Challenges Which Face NGOs in Kurdistan region". The objective of the workshop was to indulge the academic staff and the lecturers of the university to cooperate in writing research project -Grants & Funds available in Kurdistan Region in Iraq. The workshop was attended by a large number of participants including the representatives of the NGOs and the staff of the University of Zakho. The opening ceremony of the workshop was by Dr. Ahmad H. Ibrahim, Director of International Relations Office followed by the welcoming speech of Dr. Abdulhameed Sulaiman, Vice President for Administration. The first section in the workshop started with the speech of Mr. Ahmad Al Habib from Bojeen NGO. Then Mr. Younis, CEO Manager of Frashine NGO gave his speech.

It is worth mentioning that various topics including Petroleum Engineering and refugees related issues were discussed.
